The Cocking 3k and 5k Junior Trail Race.

Junior Trail Race.

We have two distances for the juniors: a 3km and a 5km trail race with categories and prizes for 6-8, 9-11age groups on the 3km and 12-15 age group on the 5km.

Both Junior 3k and 5k races start at 09:15. The start line is1km west of the race HQ/finish line on The South Downs Way. Please be ready to walk to the start from Race HQ at 08:55. The marshalled 3km and 5km trail routes head uphill for a short while before heading down to the finish line where the 10k runners will be gathering for their start. Expect lots of cheers from the adults as the juniors cross the line!

The event is licenced by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules.

School Team Entries.

Schools can enter teams of SIX runners for the Junior Trail Race. The teams can be mixed boys and girls. There are two categories for the school teams, either primary school or secondary school. How to get there

By Car: The event starts from the top of Cocking Hill, one mile south of the village of Cocking on the A286 where The South Downs Way crosses the road. Please observe marshals and car parking directions when you arrive.

By Bike: There is bike parking at the Flint Barn Cafe.

By Public Transport: You can take the Stagecoach bus route 60 from Chichester or Midhurst.
