Entries for the 2024 Junior Trail Race are closed because we have reached our maximum numbers for the race.

The Junior Trail Race is a 3km trail race with categories and prizes for 6-8, 9-11 and 12-15 age groups.

The Junior 3k race starts at 09:30. The start line is1km west of the race HQ/finish line on The South Downs Way. Please be ready to walk to the start from Race HQ at 9:15. The marshalled 3km trail route heads uphill for a short while before heading down to the finish line where the 10k runners will be gathering for their start. Expect lots of cheers from the adults as the juniors cross the line!

School Team Entries.

Schools can enter teams of SIX runners for the Junior Trail Race. The teams can be mixed boys and girls. There are two categories for the school teams, either primary school or secondary school. The cost for entering a team is £24. To request your unique registration link for the school team race, please email Sarah Jenkins.

How to get there

By Car: The event starts from the top of Cocking Hill, one mile south of the village of Cocking on the A286 where The South Downs Way crosses the road. Please observe marshals and car parking directions when you arrive.

By Bike: There is bike parking at the Flint Barn Cafe.

By Public Transport: You can take the Stagecoach bus route 60 from Chichester or Midhurst.
