Join us for a run!

How to get started with the Milers.

Are you new to running? Coming back to running? Or an experienced runner looking for a happy running club? There’s something for all ages and abilities at Midhurst Milers.

Get started by joining us for a run.

We run as a club on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Wednesday and Sunday mornings. Our runs are normally split into different groups which means that everyone can run at a speed and distance to suit their ability. To join in with a club run you need to be comfortable running for around 30 minutes (slowly is absolutely fine).

To get started with us, simply turn up for one of our runs. Wander up and say hello, you’ll be given a warm welcome, we’re really very friendly! You’re welcome to join us for a few runs for free, after which we’ll ask you to join up and pay your subs.

Always check our calendar before coming along for a run!

Tuesday evening runs.

Tuesdays are what you might call ‘traditional’ club sessions. We split into groups for different speeds and abilities, we prefer to trail run but during the winter we normally offer one of the groups the option of a road run.

Wednesday morning social run.

Wednesday morning run from the Cowdray Café with coffee afterwards. Distance and pace to suit those who turn up. Nice and relaxed and great cake too!

Sunday Runday runs.

Sunday mornings used to be good for washing the car. But not for the Milers, we get up early and run around in the woods! Sundays are normally trail runs, roughly 10k at a sensible pace. We’ll split into groups, so there’s something for everyone! Be warned, you may get your shoes muddy…

Running away.

Watch out for some of our Pub Runs, Treasure Hunts and other runs where we run from somewhere different! You’ll often find us starting at Flint Barn Café or from West Dean… keep an eye on the calendar to see what’s coming up.

Christmas Eve Sawdust Trail.

We’ve been staging our famous Sawdust Trail for as long as anyone can remember. Everyone’s welcome, it’s free to enter and Santa hats should be worn! The concept is straightforward; you follow a trail made from piles of sawdust around the local woods and commons, and then eat mince pies in The Grange. Ho Ho Ho!
